چکیده

Abstract The present study aimed to develop an efficient superabsorbent hydrogel for water conservation and slow release of Ethephon in sandy soil. Herein, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) was grafted via a free radical polymerization technique with acrylamide 2-Acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS) as hydrophilic monomers. developed CMC-g-(PAM-co-PAMPS) graft copolymer characterized by FTIR, TGA, SEM analysis prove the occurrence grafting process. Several factors affecting process were investigated, while maximum (%) value reached 91%. Moreover, increasing AMPS ratio obviously improved swelling degree maximal 17,770%. addition 2% soil potentially enhanced retention 47% compared pure which retained about 7% water. Besides, up 20% significantly increased its loading 88%, 87% released within 28 days sustained manner. results suggested that fabricated can serve nutrient carrier amendment advanced agricultural applications.

Dataset on the superabsorbent hydrogel synthesis with SiO2 nanoparticle and role in water restoration capability of agriculture soil

Synthetic polymer was exploited as water-superabsorbent hydrogel and helped to conserve water in the agricultural soil. The hydrogel polymers were synthesized the carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and starch in addition to SiO2 nanoparticles. Superabsorbent hydrogel polymer having 35% water retention ability was analyzed with three replicates. Hydrogel increased the water restoration capability of ...

Sustained Release of Risedronate from PLGA Microparticles Embedded in Alginate Hydrogel for Treatment of Bony Lesions

Background: Inflammatory bone resorption in periodontitis can lead to tooth loss. Systemic administration of bisphosphonates such as risedronate for preventing bone resorption can cause adverse effects. Alginate hydrogel (ALG) and poly (lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microparticles have been studied as drug delivery systems for sustained release of drugs. Therefore, the release pattern of...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

3D Printability of Alginate-Carboxymethyl Cellulose Hydrogel

Three-dimensional (3D) bio-printing is a revolutionary technology to reproduce a 3D functional living tissue scaffold in-vitro through controlled layer-by-layer deposition of biomaterials along with high precision positioning of cells. Due to its bio-compatibility, natural hydrogels are commonly considered as the scaffold material. However, the mechanical integrity of a hydrogel material, espec...

Effects of a novel poly (AA-co-AAm)/AlZnFe₂O₄/potassium humate superabsorbent hydrogel nanocomposite on water retention of sandy loam soil and wheat seedling growth.

A novel poly(acrylic acid-co-acrylamide)AlZnFe₂O₄/potassium humate( )superabsorbent hydrogel nanocomposite (PHNC) was synthesized and its physical properties characterized using SEM, Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) and FTIR spectroscopic techniques. Air dried sandy loam soil was amended with 0.1 to 0.4 w/w% of PHNC to evaluate its soil moisture retention attributes. Effect of PHNC amendment on pH...
